The Edinburgh font for checkers or draughts is in both TrueType and PostScript formats and includes a nice 9 page User’s Guide. There are five different checker styles and six different borders including algebraic for up to a 10x10 board. The checkers can be placed on white or dark squares and the squares may be numbered.
Shown below are two checker diagrams illustrating checkers on either white or dark squares and numbering of the squares. In both problems white is to play and win.
For the diagram on the left - white to play and win with 22-26!! 14-7 26-22! 13-17 22-13 29-25 13-17 25-21 17-22. For the diagram on the right - white to play and win with 10-14! 30-23 32-27 23-32 14-23 32-27 23-32.
